MOVING DIAL CLOCK

"This design was created to answer the question, 'is it possible to make a mechanical pendulum clock with a rotating face?'.  The going train is from Colin J Thorne's Skeleton Timepiece, with a motion work running up the front plate to power the face and a separate motion work for the minute hand to compensate for the movement of the face. Each of the numeral 'discs' is mounted on an offset pin in a bearing so that the numbers remain readable when the face rotates, as at any time other than 12 o'clock, it's quite hard to read."
