A 3/4 PENDULUM ELECTRIC CLOCK by JOHN WILDING Wheels to be crossed out / Pinions supplied on stubs to be cut off and fitted to arbor 1/2/3 or 4 pinions on one stub PHOTO ALL PRICES PLUS POSTAGE & PACKING |
This, clock by John Wilding, was originally serialised in
Model Engineer and was commissioned to be suitable for a complete beginner,
not only a beginner to clock making but also for someone with little or no
experience in the use of the lathe. The lathe chosen to illustrate the
construction is the PEATOL, an inexpensive tool and one which is small and
portable. On this lathe the entire construction has been carried out including
the wheel cutting. The materials for the clock can be obtained in a pack from
a supplier given in the text. All the parts and materials are readily
available. This attractive wall clock is an excellent project for the newcomer
to clockmaking.
There are 74 pages and over 300 illustrations which show
every aspect of the construction including the making of the special tools
such as the division plate and cutter frame required for the wheel cuttting
